Stupid Pet Tricks Competition

Get ready for some tail-wagging, feather-flapping, and totally ridiculous fun at the Deer Run Block Party! Whether your pet can roll over, play dead, fetch a frisbee, dance in a tutu, or just look adorably confused, this is their time to shine.

Where: Timothy Baker Amphitheater Stage
When: Between two evening musical acts (exact time announced the week before on our website, social media, and from the stage)
Emcee & Judge: Holmes County Dog Warden’s Department
Prizes: First, second, and third place winners will receive handcrafted items donated by our amazing artist vendors and food trucks.

How it works:

  • All pets welcome (dogs, cats, goats, parrots, guinea pigs, you name it!).

  • Pets must remain under control of their owners at all times.

  • The Holmes County Dog Warden’s Department will emcee the show and help select finalists.

  • The crowd will vote (by cheers, claps, howls, and hollers!) for the winners.

  • Entry fee is $5 per pet, paid to Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal. All entry fees help cover the costs of the event.

Q: What is the Stupid Pet Tricks Competition?
A lighthearted contest where pets of all kinds show off their funniest, weirdest, or most impressive tricks on the Timothy Baker Amphitheater Stage during the Deer Run Block Party.

Q: When and where is it happening?
It’ll be held in the evening at Deer Run Park in Millersburg, between two live musical sets. The exact time will be announced on the Block Party website and social media the week before the event.

Anyone! The contest is open to all ages and all pets, dogs, cats, goats, birds, rabbits, or anything else that can safely come on stage.

Q: How do I sign up?
Sign up online below. Limited spaces may be available for walk-ups, but pre-registration guarantees your spot.

Entry fee is $5 per pet, paid to Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal. All entry fees help cover the costs of the event.
